Buy bundles vs. Monthly recurring pricing for my first SaaS

By: Link2chase

I'm launching an AI-powered web app that helps job seekers craft responses to application questions by analyzing their resume and the job description. As this is my first SaaS product and I'm targeting the Nigerian market (a price-sensitive region), I'm struggling with the pricing model: Option 1: Monthly subscription ($5/month) with a set number of generated answers Option 2: Pay-as-you-go bundles ($3 for X answers, no expiration) My concerns:

Job hunting is typically sporadic rather than a continuous activity Nigerian users may hesitate to commit to recurring payments Local purchasing power must be considered for pricing

I'd appreciate insights from those who:

Have launched SaaS products in emerging markets Have experimented with hybrid pricing models Can share data on which model drives better customer retention and revenue

What pricing approach would you recommend for this type of product in this market? Are there creative alternatives I should consider?
